View of Duluth, Canal Park and the Aerial Lift Bridge from Enger Tower
Duluth, Minnesota
In our travels around Lake Superior, Duluth has become our favorite Lake Superior "Big Town."
Few travelers to Duluth can miss the Aerial Lift bridge (pictured above - center). This Duluth landmark separates Canal Park from Minnesota Point - the spit of land (actually an island) that runs east of the bridge. This picture was taken from Enger Tower rising from the top of the 600 ft high bluff that runs for several miles along this edge of Lake Superior.
Our Favorite Things to See and Do while in Duluth:
There are several waterfalls in and around Duluth but unless you are there in the spring of the year the trickle of water pales in comparison to what you find if you travel a little further up the Minnesota North Shore.
