Bentleyville is a Christmas Holiday village constructed at Duluth's Bayfront Park out of wire and almost 3 million lights. The centerpiece of the village is a 12 story illuminated Christmas Tree. A path runs through the village allowing holiday visitors to stroll along at their leisure enjoying the illuminated creations. Kids, big and small, can also enjoy visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, stopping at the Cookie House or Popcorn Igloo for treats, roasting Marsh mellows by the fire, and visiting the General Store for gift ideas. Bentleyville visitors are also treated to Christmas music broadcast throughout the village. There is no admission charge, however, donations are accepted (No one will pressure you for a donation so families and folks of modest means should feel free to enjoy the Christmas spirit without obligation) Transportation and parking. A special Polar Express train also runs between Fitgers and Bentleyville. Parking adjacent to the park is available for a modest fee. After 5pm parking is free at a number of Duluth downtown parking lots plus there is a special free Jingle Bus shuttle service runs from downtown and Canal Park on the weekends to and from Bentleyville. Sponsored by a number of area businesses and organizations, Bentleyville is a great holiday fun activity for all ages. ~ ~ ~ click on pictures to see larger view ~ ~ ~ Entering through the Castle Gates
