Opening before Thanksgiving, the Bentleyville Tour of Lights is a huge Christmas Lights Holiday Village constructed in Duluth's Bayfront Park out of wire and about 5 million lights. It is America's Largest Free Walk-Through Holiday Lights Display. A fun visit for kids, young and old (including seniors )
For 2021 Bentleyville (opening November 20, 2021) is reverting back to a Walk Through format for the 2021 season with FREE admission. Parking in any lot at or near Bentleyville will be $10 per vehicle..

A path runs through the village allowing holiday visitors to stroll along at their leisure enjoying the illuminated creations. Kids, big and small, can also enjoy visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, stopping at the Cookie House or Popcorn Igloo for treats, roasting Marsh mellows by the fire, and visiting the General Store for gift ideas. Bentleyville visitors are also treated to Christmas music broadcast throughout the village. There is no admission charge, however, donations are accepted (No one will pressure you for a donation so families and folks of modest means should feel free to enjoy the Christmas spirit without obligation)
Transportation and parking. A special Polar Express train also runs between Fitgers and Bentleyville. Parking adjacent to the park is available for a modest fee. After 5pm parking is free at a number of Duluth downtown parking lots plus there is a special free Jingle Bus shuttle service runs from downtown and Canal Park on the weekends to and from Bentleyville.
Sponsored by a number of area businesses and organizations, Bentleyville is a great holiday fun activity for all ages.

The popular summer Tall Ships Festival was represented
in lights as is legendary north shore dog sled mailman

for whom the Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is named.
"Frosty Fairways" portrays Duluth's popular municipal golf courses, Enger Park and Lester Park.

featured "jumping fish."
The village walk takes visitors through different districts of Bentleyville-Duluth and through tunnels simulating
those that run I-35 underneath city parks.
After the magnificent 120 ft tall Christmas Tree, I thought the decorated Bayfront Pavilion was the most impressive lighting scene.
