A couple enjoys the quiet ambience and panoramic view of Lake Superior
offered by Duluth's Rose Garden in Leif Erickson Park.
The Leif Erickson Park's Rose Garden includes over 3000 rose bushes representing more than 100 varieties, among its flowering landscape plantings. Besides being one of the midwest's few formal English style Rose Gardens, the park is architecturally significant for being constructed over Duluth's I-35 expressway. As you stroll around the beautiful park, little do you know that below your feet trucks and cars are streaming along!
In addition to the Roses, the 6 acre park includes over 10,000 other flowers, flowering shrubs, evergreens, and herbs. See some Rose Garden spring flowers here.
