Duluth Lakewalk, Canal Park to Fitger's
On the way from Canal Park to Fitger's is the Vietnam's Veteran Memorial (pictured above) honoring North Shore veterans.
On the way you can take either the upper walk and go through gardens or take the lower route close to the lake. That tall chimney in the background is the Fitger's Brewery Complex.

 Looking NE from Fitger's deck over the lakewalk. That stairway in the distance leads up to one of our favorite stops - the Malt Shoppe (pictured below).
While most of the complex is shops and restaurants, beer continues to be brewed here at the Fitger's Brewpub. Most of the seating is indoors but a few lucky souls can imbibe outside in the small patio. (By the way note it is Fitger's not Fitzger's. Many people - including me at one time - added a "z" that doesn't belong!)
