The Rose Garden entrance to Leif Erickson Park is on London Avenue

In May most of the plantings in the Rose Garden are still protected against the likelihood of a killing spring frost. But in June the wraps come off and the spring flower portion of the garden comes alive. Jo and her sister Donna visited the gardens in mid-June and found much to admire, including a wild flower section of the park.

Flowering shrubs, tulips, and other spring flowers hold the stage until the roses are ready to bloom.

The other park of Leif Erickson park is below the Rose Garden between the Lakewalk and the Lake.
